The World Fair of Slop

An international exposition of default large-language-model web design. Nine pavilions, placarded like a real museum, so you can finally learn the Latin names for the things every landing page has been doing to you since 2023.

EXHIBIT 01

Unlock Your Potential.

The all-in-one platform that helps ambitious teams supercharge their workflow, powered by next-generation AI, trusted by industry leaders worldwide.

01The Gradient Hero. Purpurea diagonalis. Native range: SaaS landing pages, seed round onward. Recognizable by its two-to-three-stop diagonal gradient (violet, magenta, occasionally a confused cyan) and a headline verb it does not otherwise define: "Unlock." "Supercharge." "Elevate." The subhead never says what the product does; it says what it feels like to have potential.

LOGOCORP
ACME INC
BIGNAME
02The Trust Badge Wall. Credibilitas simulata. A row of company "logos," each rendered at just enough blur that no court could prove they are, or are not, real companies. The number above them is always round, always plus, and was chosen for cadence, not for auditability.
EXHIBIT 03
03The Testimonial Rotunda. Quinque stellae, semper. Always five stars. Always a gradient-circle avatar standing in for a photo of a person who, statistically, was never asked. The job title is doing all the credibility work the star rating can't: "Director of Growth," never just "customer."
EXHIBIT 04
  • 🚀 Lightning-fast performance, right out of the box
  • ✨ Beautifully designed, zero learning curve
  • 🎯 Laser-focused on what actually matters
  • 💡 Powered by cutting-edge AI under the hood
  • 🔒 Enterprise-grade security you can trust
04The Bullet Point Emoji Garden. Emoji anteponens. Five claims, five unrelated emoji standing guard at the left margin like sentries with no orders. Adjectives do the lifting: "beautifully," "laser-focused," "cutting-edge." Note the total absence of a number, a benchmark, or a screenshot anywhere in the enclosure.
EXHIBIT 05
It's not just a todo appit's a productivity revolution.
05The Not-Just-X-It's-Y Pavilion. Non modo, sed. The em dash as load-bearing wall. X is always something small and concrete; Y is always something large and abstract wearing X's coat. This specimen regenerates on a timer — watch the placard, not the exhibit, or you'll miss the seam.

✨ Support Bot
👋 Hi there! I noticed you've been browsing for a while — can I help you find something, or offer you 15% off?
06The Chatbot Greeting Booth. Interruptus amicabilis. Appears exactly when you were reading, not before and never after. Claims to have "noticed" something about you; has in fact noticed a setTimeout. Offers a discount unprompted, which is how you learn the price was never real to begin with. Kept caged in this one exhibit only — the real ones follow you from page to page.

07The Stat Counter Fountain. Numeri ex nihilo. Four numbers, animated to count up on scroll so that arriving at a number feels like earning it. Uptime is always "99," never "99.94," because the second decimal would imply someone was actually measuring. Countries Served counts the countries the marketing site has been viewed from, once, by accident.

Loved by DevelopersThe DX everyone keeps talking about.
08The Glassmorphism Card Grid. Vitrum simulatum. Frosted panels over a gradient that exists only to be frosted. Each card pairs one emoji, one three-word claim, and one sentence that restates the claim in cursive. "Loved by developers" is not, in this exhibit or any other, a citation.

09The Newsletter Popup Ambush. Exitus interceptus. Triggers on the intent to leave, which the page has decided it can detect. Offers a discount that did not exist thirty seconds ago and a PDF that exists to justify the discount. The "✕" is real in this exhibit only as a courtesy to museum visitors; in the wild it is frequently three pixels wide.
